Our Values & Philosophy

At Cain and Cain: Estate Planners for LifeTM our practice is intentionally small to allow a certain level of intimacy with our clients and their families. We value the relationship. Our work is as much about the counseling that occurs during the process as the legal documents that are produced as the result of the counseling.

We approach all matters with the goal of understanding the clients’ true objectives first, before suggesting solutions. We want the result to be clients who are not only satisfied with our work product, but happy with the process and the service we have provided along the way. You have worked hard to build a life that matters. You have a home, property, investments and possessions that are important to you, not merely as material objects but as representations of the relationships that occupy your life. Most likely, you are committed to one or two causes or organizations such as a church, social service agency, or awareness group in which you have invested time and energy. These factors are what make up your life story and culminate in your legacy. It's crucial that the life you worked hard to build will be settled in a manner that honors the way you lived, the relationships you have and the commitments you made.

Since we value the relationship, we stay in contact with our clients. We want to see and hear from them regularly so that we can adjust their plans based on changes in their lives, the law and our learning. Your life, relationships and commitments are continually growing and changing. Therefore, the plan for settling them must also be dynamic. You will have the peace of mind that comes from knowing the people and things that matter to you are cared for in the long run.

Finally, we work as a team. Lawyers, clients, support team and strategic resource partners are all brought in to help, as appropriate, in achieving excellent results for our clients.
